Shiatsu at Autumn RETREAT

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork. Pressure is applied by the fingers, palm, forearms, elbow, knees, toes, feet. Movement, stretching and accessing acupressure points helps to stimulate the circulation of blood and Ki (life-force energy) through the body, to restore health and harmony. The receiver lies on a futon on the floor, and is fully clothed, unless moxibustion, cupping or liniments are required.
There are a vast range of conditions that Shiatsu can assist. It can be used for immediate relief of pains and aches, and to calm the mind and create a more relaxed state. Shiatsu can also form part of an ongoing health plan to manage and assist chronic conditions.
