Gita Style Yoga Classes at Autumn RETREAT
The great power of Yoga lies in its capacity to connect body, mind & spirit - for strength, healing & growth. Gita-Style Yoga does this by targeting the entire body, particularly the hormone system. This system affects everything from metabolism, digestion, ageing, to how we feel, what we think & our sense of wellbeing. This style uses a unique sequence of postures practiced in Melbourne for over 50 years, connecting you with empowering knowledge you can use in everyday life & leaving you feeling balanced, revitalized & whole. You can expect to do a combination of yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation & relaxation. In one hour, we work out & detox the whole body, creating change on all levels, not just the physical.   It suits all bodies, ages & fitness levels & is easily varied to be gentle for some & dynamic for others. Hatha Yoga Classes at Autumn RETREAT
Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning union - the joining of our body, mind and spiritual consciousness. It is an ancient system of physical culture, which is both scientific & philosophical, though not a religion.  Hatha for Ha (Sun) + Tha (Moon) Yoga is a union of opposing forces that aims to balance the mental, physical and subtle forces of the body through the practice of:   - Postures (Asanas) to release tension, align the body & enhance energy flow   - Breath control (Pranayama) to further promote the energy flow of the body)  - Relaxation to settle the nervous system & calm the mind   - Meditation Hatha Yoga practice is a great way to cope with stress, relieve tension and anxiety, improve the immune system, and induce calmness and peacefulness of the body and mind. Kundalini Yoga Classes at Autumn RETREAT
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is a complete science designed to work on our glandular and nervous system to create positive change to the mind and the body. Its aim is to awaken the kundalini energy which lays dormant within us all. Kundalini energy is none other than our creative potential. Each class combines breathwork, postures, relaxation to the sound of the gong, meditation and mantra, to awaken the spirit and help us understand our existence in relationship to the universe so that we can reach our highest potential.Come along and experience for yourself the transformative strength of Kundalini Yoga practice. Kundalini Meditation at Autumn RETREAT

Meditation in Kundalini Yoga tradition contains specific tools that carefully and precisely support the mind and guide the body through the use of breath work, mantra, mudra and focus. We employ all these techniques to help liberate us from the wanderings of our mind and to elevate our conciousness. Each class will include deep relaxation to the sound of a symphonic gong, a sacred and ancient instrument which produces a strong sound wave to help release tension and blocks in the body and to purify and quieten the mind. Pilates Classes at Autumn RETREAT (returning shortly)
Through Pilates you will learn to integrate breathing techniques, core stabilisation, mental focus and preciese mmovementsinto a free flowing exercise. These classes will help enhancepelvic stability, flexibility and coordination while building strength using smal apparatus and resisitance. They will also focus on muscles of the core to alleviate lower back pain, improve posture and prevent injury. These classes will be both innovative and challenging. Pregnancy & Post-natal Yoga Classes at Autumn RETREAT
Pregnancy & Post-natal Yoga Designed specifically for women’s changing bodies throughout this transformational period in their lives. Our classes work to create comfort for sacro-iliac pain, strengthening pelvic floor / maintenance, lower/upper back discomfort, as well as preparing your body for labour & beyond. Our classes focus on prevention and creating well-being to avoid headache, backache, discomfort and at the same time creating energy, clarity and a sense of perspective.  Although our timetable doesn't currently have a designated Pregnancy & Postnatal class, our Wednesday & Saturday classes can be easily customised to suit your personal needs. Francine is our residenet Pre & postnatal teacher and has opened her classes to a general class at the same time as being more than happy to accomodate you at any stage in your pregnancy or postnatally. Teen Yoga Classes at Autumn RETREAT
Learn valuable life skills to help you focus, release stress, harness energy and-tune into your true self. Classes include stretching, classic yoga postures (asana), breathing exercises (pranayama) plus relaxation and meditation techniques. (For ages 9 - 14+). Vinyasa Yoga (returning in term 2)
Join our Vinyasa Yoga teacher for 75 minutes of flowing practice, exploration and meditation. Here we will build strength and release tension, setting the foundation for deep relaxation and connection. Students will be gently guided to find their own way of moving with a focus on transitions that engage the deep core muscles to create stable and fluid movements. This way of moving also increases strength more rapidly. As well as investigating Yoga postures and various methods of meditation, this beginner’s course introduces students to Pranayama (mindful breathing), basic human physiology, anatomy and alignment and Yogic philosophies.
