Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, non-invasive therapy using a light touch and informed deep body listening to support healing and transformation at the emotional, mental and physical levels. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and wellbeing.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is an advanced body/mind therapy that combines a unique type of touch which supports the body’s ability to heal itself by bringing about natural adjustments from within the body’s own resources. The practitioner is interested in helping the body to reorganise the body’s own tissues and its energetic and emotional layers so that there is a holistic movement towards greater health.
The Biodynamic approach to Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) has evolved into a remarkable body therapy that has created a highly skilled way of listening to the body’s inherent health expressions. Subtle movements in the body’s fluid and tissue fields are being listened for and the natural movement towards stillness is seen as deeply healing.
The beauty of this therapy is that it is both simple and profound. The practitioner takes up a position of being neutral and allows the process of the treatment to unfold. The therapy creates a safe space for traumatic experiences to emerge and resolve gently without being overwhelming or re-stimulating.
Using highly attuned sensory skills developed through extensive training, the practitioner can help the client to heal on all levels (physical, mental, and emotional).

What can I expect from a treatment?
Biodynamic touch is a particular type of touch. It is light and reverential. There is never any pressure, manipulation or force. Your therapist is trained to create a calm, still and embodied presence. This type of touch and presence enables you to feel safe, supported and held. This sense of safety allows your nervous system to switch from flight or fight to rest and repair. It is in this state that healing and change can begin to take place.
Sessions are conducted with the client fully clothed lying comfortably on a massage table. A case history will be taken in the initial consultation to establish the priority issue/concerns. Using a non-invasive, light touch, usually starting at the feet and often working at the head or sacrum, the Craniosacral Therapist is able to detect imbalances and hold a supportive space for the body to make adjustments towards health.
